UGHHH I'm gonna start biting and tearing fhfjsbfjendfh Every single Jhariah song on Android 24's playlist (on any of the dbhc playlists, honestly) just devastates me /pos. Jhariah's music is so raw and powerful and desperate; there's truly nothing else like it, and it's so so perfect for 24. I'm so excited to draw to more Jhariah in the future >:3 but for now, take my absolute insanity about 24 and how he views himself and Xisuma :-) <in pain

had a very rough and tiring time at work today. going to take a long, hot shower and make myself some sleepytime tea and get some needed rest in a bit. what i mean to say is: i unfortunately have no energy to write for ask prompts this evening but tomorrow should (fingers crossed) be a little less chaotic and exhausting so i am planning to write then

ever notice how the people who will be like "eww linux haha" are just bullying a group of mostly autistic people

but it's okay because they're stereotypically men and disabled men get no rights i guess

like yes cis male linux-fans can be annoying (often in an autism way btw) but as someone who has spent years among them they are on average less sexist than your average man. also a lot of us linux users are genderqueer poople. the trans women in STEM you've heard about? most of them are linux users as well, if they don't use unix or more obscure systems.

the techbros you hate? they don't use linux, they use windows and mac. linux is overwhelmingly non-commercial, and techbros are hyper-neoliberal. most of linux is FOSS (free & open source software)

linux comes from the same ideological corner as firefox. if you think firefox is great but think linux is nothing more than a funny joke you need to look in the fucking mirror. and at your own computer because if you use windows you'll have a lot of anti-features that you take for granted. if you made the switch to linux it would be like exhaling the breath you didn't know you were holding for years. not saying that you have to, just, most people don't even consider making their own lives easier. you know?

Bigshot as Andriod 24....you're so right. It so encapsulates what 24 thinks of Xisuma

"You're always just a bit shy following behind/I think you've spent enough time singing the same lines" <- 24's resentment toward Xisuma, perhaps? Or a desire for something more, something better?

"I'm screaming for a life that I cannot have" AAAUUUGHHH perishing. throwing up. rolling over in agony. When the music cuts out and it's raw vocals really adds to the effect

And the oh's at the end, the screaming. I love Jhariah's music so much and I feel like it showcases the rawness of 24's emotions that us, from the perspective of Xisuma, don't get to see often.

AND the transition into FIRE4FUN feels like if 24 spiraled into slight insanity.

Anyways I'm a huge Jhariah fan and will now be thinking of every song in the context of dbhc (especially Russian Doll as Etho post-destruction).

RAHHHHHHH YES!!!!! oh my god yes absolutely all of this!!! There's so much i could freaking say about this song, and If you'll indulge me a slight ramble: i think so much of it is like, this double meaning with lyrics. Like, yes, BIG SHOT. 24 hates Xisuma so much (for some reason, later to be explored, but hinted at a little bit in the spotify wrapped art), he sneeringly calls X a bigshot, because X must think he's so big and powerful and important, but this song also feels like. almost like 24 is beating up on himself? Like, "oh, you think you're a big shot, huh? Think you're so big and strong and powerful despite how small you feel?" and that sense of fighting to overcome his sense of inadequacy and shame and anger is just SO infuriating that it fuels him even more.

Lyrics like "You're always just a bit shy, following behind" AGAIN, could totally be 24 sneering at Xisuma, because X isn't the most outwardly outgoing person, and from 24's perspective, it's like ohhhhh, you're putting up this shy guy front, you must think you're so smart! BUT ALSO. "a bit shy" as in, coming up just short of a goal, always falling short, and that as a double meaning for both 24 and Xisuma is just so. passes out. I could go on like this for like every lyric i need to eat glass OH AND!!! FIRE4FUN is actually on Cub's playlist >:3 god so many songs from the TRUST CEREMONY album are on various dbhc playlists, but primarily 24 and hels. Xisuma has one and cub has one, but that's it (i think).

DBH Prompt 001: An Emergency Substitute RK Unit

Some android takes a bunch of humans hostage and will only negotiate their release with an RK model because he's a fanboy with delusions. Wants to be the next Daniel but show off how he's better or something. Problem: Connor and Nines accompanied Markus to DC for some big android rights thing with Congress (60 stayed dead, or went with them, whichever), and there's no way to get them on the scene in time. Solution: They stuff a reluctant Gavin in a fake CyberLife jacket, give him a mic and wire connected to Nines to feed him lines, and convince the crazy guy that they have a top-secret infiltrator RK model that was made to pass as a human. Homicidal android fanboy buys it because all the RKs are classified to hell, and also they're badasses, so why wouldn't there be an infiltration one, too?

Bonus Points: Gavin has a prosthetic arm and deactivates the synthskin to "prove" he's an android, that's why they picked him over Allen or whoever. (This would probably tie in to the Kamski-is-his-brother trope.) OR Plot Twist: It's actually the truth. The jacket is real. Nobody knew.
